The Group Media Director is responsible for leading the multicultural strategic direction and implementation of media plans for all accounts across the agency. The Group Media Director will help to build and grow a high-performing team and support the development of exceptional media strategies based on astute insights, as well as oversee the submission of campaigns and stay ahead of industry trend to inform and inspire media strategies.

What You Will Do
- Provide leadership to the media team and oversee the day-to-day activity and deliverables for all media client accounts.
- Lead the development and delivery of comprehensive media strategies and plans that align with client objectives and target audiences.
- Make strategic media recommendations based on metrics, awareness, engagement, and areas of opportunities for increased exposure for the target market segment.
- Implement the processes for the management of the strategic and tactical execution of all media products across all teams.
- Oversee media budgets, ensuring efficient allocation and adherence to financial goals.
- Partner with department heads to ensure cross-functional teams effectively and efficiently work together to drive media strategy for clients.
- Review all media products and adjust as necessary to raise the benchmark of excellence for the agency’s media products.
- Identify opportunities for new business and monitor opportunities to leverage existing scopes to generate incremental opportunities for revenue.
- Proactively monitor media and client industry trends to make strategic recommendations.
- Be a strategic media resource to guide internal and external teams towards creating bold media plans to elevate client brand.
- Serve as client-facing strategic voice that evaluates and elevates the quality of deliverables produced by the media team.
- Drive innovation and creativity within media plans and seek the use of new technologies, new vendor partners and the development of innovative strategic media ideas.
- Keep agency leadership and fellow department heads informed of opportunities, challenges, and strategic plans for how integrated teams can deliver greater value.
- Responsible for shaping the skills, knowledge, and expertise within the media team.
Your Experience
- BA/BS degree required.
- 10+ years of integrated media planning experience, leading media teams and crafting impactful media strategies.
- 5+ years of management experience.
- Must have advertising agency experience with segment experience targeting multicultural consumers.
- Proven experience executing effective media plans for client across multiple industries.
- Clear understanding of how both consumer insight and client business model comprehension can elevate a marketing communication brief.
- Deep understanding of various media channels including digital, print, broadcast, and emerging technologies.
- Familiarity with industry-standard media planning and buying software.
- A problem solver who applies analytical skills and strategic insights to every process.
- Ability to negotiate favorable rates and contracts with media vendors.
- Ability to effectively foster teamwork and build strong relationships with clients to ensure their satisfaction.
- Highly skilled in presenting to senior level clients and management.
- Strong time-management, project management, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written, oral communication, listening, and collaboration skills.
